Ellie Black is back at International Gymnix 2026! A four-time Olympian in artistic gymnastics, Ellie continues to push the boundaries of gymnastics and inspire the next generation. She will be joining us as an ambassador this year.
Ellie Black is a Canadian artistic gymnast born on February 15, 1995 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Considered one of the best gymnasts in Canadian history, she began gymnastics at a very young age and quickly established herself on the international stage thanks to her elegance, precision and versatility.
Throughout her career, Black has amassed an impressive list of achievements. She has won several medals at the World Championships, including a silver medal in the all-around competition in 2015 and 2017—a historic performance for a Canadian gymnast. She also shone at the Pan American Games, where she dominated the competitions, and at the 2016 Rio and 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, where she proudly represented Canada.
Despite the injuries that have plagued her career, Ellie Black has always demonstrated remarkable resilience to return to her best form. Admired as much for her talent as for her determination, she has become an iconic figure in Canadian sport and a source of inspiration for the next generation of gymnasts in the country
